I hope you and you families are safe and well.
These are strange, worrying and difficult times. It has never been more important to care and support each other.
Last Monday our on-line support programme commenced with teachers and SNA’s contacting you via email, Seesaw, Zoom, phone or post. I wish to acknowledge and thank all involved – children, parents and staff for all your hard work.
Please remember each family circumstance is unique and all we can do is our best.
Do not be too hard on yourself or the children if the confusion of all our family lives disrupts the planned timetable of the day.
Get fresh air, talk to your child and read with them, focus on Maths as the main support, inspire your child to write for fun but most of all do what you need to do to stay safe, happy and well.
Plans and guidelines regarding a return to school for children in our Special Classes and children with significant physical and intellectual needs have dominated our news but alas still remain uncertain.
Plans that Special and Support Classes will re-open in school on Thursday, January 21st from 9:20 -12 noon are on-going but discussions at National Level are still unresolved.
I apologise for the confusion around this matter and assure you that when we have clear guidance at National Level we will contact the parents of the children involved directly. I expect this to happen next Tuesday or Wednesday.
On-Line Support will continue for pupils in Mainstream Classes until February 1st.
Remember to contact your teacher by e-mail or seesaw or ring the school office on 0646632047 or 0877559237 if we can help in any way.
