                                       Sunday, March 29th 2020.

 Dear Parents,

Assigned here is the pupil’s proposed work for the week ahead. Please remember the message from last week – this work is a menu, a guide and is meant to be a help. Do what you can.

Your child’s teacher has texted you an email address to help us stay in touch, please use this contact.

Each child has different strengths and abilities, each home has varying access to technology, printers etc. Do not try to be superhuman. Do what you can. Stay in touch with your teacher.  Each Mainstream class has a Partner/Support teacher, they are working together and are in touch. Our Special class teachers are also in touch with each family. We are here to help.

I am conscious of the timing of this note as we face further restrictions in our movements for the common good. I am also conscious that many of us are far from our own siblings, parents, grandparents and some of our older children. We miss them, but it is for them we must act.

We face the challenge of our generation. We are anxious and worried. But take strength that we will overcome. We know our people have faced incredible crisis in the past – wars and famines scar our histories. Our current emergency is different but requires the same sense of unity and purpose as displayed by our ancestors. What we do individually will make a difference collectively. We must stay at home and follow the guidelines.

When this is over we will enjoy the freedom all the more, we will enjoy the simple things we took for granted. We will enjoy being back together in school. Use the work assigned here as a crutch, to help us feel somewhat normal in a strange world, stay in touch with us. If we can help in any way please contact your teacher or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 0877559237

Regards and continued best wishes,

Rory D’Arcy.
